What's New with the
Cottonwood Mall Redevelopment?
The Cottonwood
Mall Site Development Master Plan was recently
unanimously approved by the City of Holladay City
Council in December, 2007. As many have seen,
the demolition of the existing mall with the
exception of Macy's and TGI Fridays has already
begun. The Cottonwood Project awaits for RDA and Tax
Increment Financing approval by the Granite School
Board on January 15th and then by the Taxing Entity
Committee on January 17th, 2008. Although the
demolition will proceed regardless of the outcome
from the approvals of the Taxing Entities, the
redevelopment of Cottonwood Mall as proposed by the
Site Development Master Plan is contingent upon the
decision that will be made on both January 15th and
January 17th, 2008. |
